Dennis and Kathy Cooper

Dennis was born and raised in Longmont, CO and graduated from Niwot High School in 1978. He then graduated from Northeastern Junior College in 1980 with an associates degree in Applied Science along with an associates degree in Business. Dennis was raised on a farm where he learned to repair and build things. His father was a great teacher and helped Dennis rebuild his first engine during elementary school. This was the beginning of an interest and soon-to-be love for auto mechanics. Dennis has seen and experienced the evolution of the automobile industry from the 1960s to our now computer system age.
Kathy was born in New York and moved to Colorado in 1968. Kathy graduated from Faith Baptist School in Longmont in 1978. Kathy first met Dennis at in church while they were in 6th grade. They became good friends and dated through high school and then got married in 1980 after Dennis graduated from college.
Dennis and Kathy started Cooper's Automotive in January 1984. While the business was just starting, Kathy worked at the City of Boulder as the Office Clerk for the Building Inspection Department. About two years later, Kathy left the City of Boulder to work at Cooper's and to begin a family. Kathy still serves as the Business Secretary for Cooper's.
Dennis and Kathy have two children. Their oldest, Stephanie Burch, and her husband, Josh, are living in Mead, CO with their four kids. Their second child, Derek Cooper, and his wife, Shay, are living in Dacono, CO with their two kids.
In their spare time, Dennis and Kathy enjoy quality time with their six grandkids, and they enjoy camping and riding their ATVs.

Eric was born in Saguache, CO and graduated from high school in 2001. Eric came to Cooper's from a Toyota dealership in Denver and is now a Service Manager for Cooper's. Eric is one of the smiling faces you will see when you enter the office at Cooper's. His main role is to communicate to details of each repair to the customer. This communication is very key to our customer's understanding of the needs of their vehicle. Eric has a lot of knowledge on automotive repairs which gives the customer confidence in the integrity and honesty of the communication. On his days off, Eric enjoys long drives through the mountains and working on project vehicles.

Jake was born in Westminster and graduated from Hidden Lake High School in 2007. He attended Front Range Community College for a degree in Automotive Repair. Soon after, Jake began working at Cooper's as a basic technician. Now, he is the shop foreman and a great technician, the head of our exhaust department, and specializes in the brakes, suspension and alignment areas. On his days off, Jake enjoys playing video games, attending car shows, and riding horses. Jake also enjoys cruising around in his Nissan GTR that he has continued to build up.

Gabe was born in Leadville, CO and now lives in Federal Heights with his wife and two kids. Gabe graduated from Denver Automotive and Diesel (now Lincoln Tech) with his associates degree. Gabe is coming to Cooper's after servicing vehicles for 10 years at Goodyear Roadmasters. It was at Roadmasters where Gabe really begin building on his knowledge and love for diagnosing and resolving issues for vehicles. Gabe was also well adapted to the ever-growing technology space at his previous role, and we are very excited for that experience to continue Cooper's technology growth. Cooper's was very excited to add Gabe to our team in January of 2019, as we know his experience is going to be a benefit to our customers. In his spare time, Gabe enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, hitting up the gym, and cultivating Bonsai trees! Yes, he has figured out how to grow delicate Bonsai trees in Colorado's challenging soil.
